A Rare Case of a Left Ovarian Remnant Syndrome Associated with a Symptomatic Right Ovarian Cyst

Ovarian Remnant syndrome (ORS) is the presence of residual ovarian tissue after an oophorectomy was performed whether associated with a hysterectomy or not. We report case 39-year-old woman past surgical history total abdominal and left salpingo-oophorectomy indication placenta accreta incidentally discovered during caesarian section. The patient presented pelvic pain diagnosed ORS. She successfully managed by laparoscopy removal cyst surrounding tissue, confirmed histopathological analysis. post operative period uneventful, discharged 2 days good evolution. In our context, surgery remains main treatment option, however, other options including radiotherapy medical management need to be considered as either adjunct therapy.

A case is reported of ureteral obstruction due to retained corpus luteum. The patient had previously undergone a hysterectomy and salpingo-ovariectomy with incomplete removal of ovarian tissue on both sides.
